Dec 21st 2019. V and A 400 ride. Great + ride! Start/finish Burgess Park. Werner leading 18 riders on mild, dry, overcast day. All the way to Albert Hall and the V&A Museum (coffee there). Dec 14th. Canada Water to London Eye.
Start/finish Canada Water, Deal Porter Square.
Usual easy-paced ride on mostly quiet streets and paths. Outward route following Nat Route 4, the Thames Path, passing Tower Bridge and Tate Modern. Return through Waterloo station, down the Cut, into Union Street then down to Great Suffolk Street. Pick up Q1 and follow until peeling off onto LCN 22 to Southwark Park and back to Canada Water. Dec 7th. 10-12. Beckenham Place Park. Grey day, but mild and dry. 14 riders enjoyed the ride to Beckenham and back, including a nice pedal along the prettiest stretch of the Waterlink Way. Route map at https://bit.ly/2FLEtqT and gpx file below.

Nov 30th. Primrose Hill. Starting from Southwark Needle we had 9 riders. Collected Jane on Farringdon St, so 10 in all. Sunny but bitterly cold. Cafe stop at Broad Walk Cafe, Regents Park, nice and warm and good coffee (and muffin). Made really good time with experienced group so did whole loop including up to Barnsbury. Nov 23rd. Charlie Chaplin ride. Start/finish Peckham Square. In light rain 12 riders joined Harry for his ride around locations in Southwark and Lambeth associated with Charlie, including the Lambeth workhouse (still standing!). Nov 16th. Trinity Buoy Wharf. 28 riders headed off from Canada Water to Trinity Buoy Wharf on a crisp autumn day. Early in ride used the new bridge over Surrey Water for Cycleway 14. Replaces the previous narrow bridge with tight cobbled entry and exit. Nov 9th Lord Mayors Show
Start/Finish Canada Water (Deal Porter Square, opposite Canada Water Station, next to CW Library, SE16 7AR)
Annual ride to the City to slip on to some of the roads cleard for the Lord Mayors procession, before this starts. Werner leads this one and is an expert in timing things just right. 31 riders this year! Plus 2 who phoned but never found the group! In fact had 3 desperate phone calls from riders who had missed the start only one of whom actually met up with the rest of the group.
