Nov 10, 10-12. Lord Mayors Show. Our annual sortie on the roads closed in advance of the Lord Mayors Show Parade. Police tolerate us for a while, then as the parade gets going we have to make ourselves scarce (or even watch a bit of the parade). In practice, our usual easy-paced ride over a quiet route, in this case exploring parts of the City. Leader Werner.
Peckham Square (Peckham Library, Peckham Pulse, SE15 5JR)

Oct 20th. By Air and Under Sea – Greenwich to the Olympic Park and back
Repeat of this popular, easy-paced, ride last ridden in July. Start/finish from Cutty Sark, Greenwich, beside the foot tunnel entrance. It is surprisingly easy to take a bike on the Emirates Airline cable car at North Greenwich (although you do have to pay – £3.50 with Oyster Card etc). Route will go from the Airline to the Olympic Park via the Greenway (including the new access ramp near the southeast end). Coffee break somewhere in the Park, then back via Isle of Dogs and the Greenwich Tunnel (so not strictly under sea, but the Thames here is tidal and salty). Route track on right. Be assured the missing bit will be alright on the night! Philippa leading. Part of our regular Healthy Rides series using as far as possible paths and quiet roads. This is a 3rd Saturday “+” ride taking 3.5 hours.
Nov 17th. Usual easy-paced ride on mostly quiet streets and paths. No route or start/finish location yet; please check back closer to date.
